Playing St Francis Old Collegians (SFX) at home, Lang Lang won the toss and elected to bat on a good day for cricket.
The Lang Lang openers Shaun Hassett and Rick Caddell started cautiously and with the score on 28, the latter was caught after making 10.
A 27-run partnership for the second wicket was ended when Hassett was caught at square leg after making 32 and 19 runs later Brian Christensen was caught for 23 to see Lang Lang 3/74.
With the score on 85 Nic Beale was fortuitously caught after making 12 and Glenn Easton was out – clean bowled only eight runs later after scoring nine.
Ross Douglas was the next wicket to fall with the score on 100 and at tea Lang Lang was 6/114.
Rogan Fraser and Gareth Andrews were in complete control at the crease, with both batting determinedly and turning over the strike regularly.
These two batsmen put on a 57-run partnership that was ended when Fraser was adjudged run-out after making a well-compiled 33.
Without any addition to the score Andrews was trapped in front and out lbw after making 22 to have Lang Lang 8/157.
Three runs later Greg McMillan was bowled for one and with the score on 163 the Lang Lang innings ended when Nic Virtue was also bowled after making one, with Adam Dowson remaining on four not-out.
