PAKENHAM businessman Michael Muaremov says his first encounter with Windermere changed his life.
Five years ago, he knew nothing about the welfare agency, but after attending a fundraising function he left a changed man.
“Seeing what they do for kids in less than perfect circumstances is unbelievable,” Mr Muaremov said.
“Windermere helps kids and families who are abused and/or homeless.”
Now, Mr Muaremov says he has the opportunity to help Windermere help kids from Pakenham to Beaconsfield.
“We are celebrating 10 years in our accounting firm,” he said.
“And we decided we should have a party – what better way to raise money for something like Windermere?”
So, on Saturday 7 November, Mr Muaremov and his staff will hold a charity dinner at the Cardinia Cultural Centre to both celebrate 10 years in business and raise much-needed funds to ensure the welfare of local kids.
“We are hoping to raise at least $5,000 for Windermere,” he said.
“We only have one condition before we hand over the money – that the money helps kids in our region from Beaconsfield to Pakenham.”
Members of the community are invited to attend the three-course dinner at a cost of $99 per person, with $25 of each ticket given directly to Windermere.
