No ban plan for new centre

WOOLWORTH’S representatives say they have no plans to deny any particular shopkeepers rental in their development.
Woolworth’s senior development manager Lindsay Rowles said while the developers had included particular speciality shops in their plans for the centre, there was no set formula.
“Woolworth’s, in this context, is a developer similar to Westfield and while we have not started leasing at this point in time we need to look at the needs of a successful shopping centre,” he said.
“At the moment it is an open market – we will see what comes in and go from there.”
