Berwick seniors enjoy meeting

MEMBERS of Berwick Senior Citizens had a pleasant meeting on Friday 6 November.
What was most pleasing was to welcome back a number of members from sick leave.
They were Gladys Obeth, Wilma James, Elsie and Jack Smith and Jackie Villalla. Congratulations went also to Ian Wollerman on his birthday.
Members still on the sick list are Win Robinson and Berrill Elston, although it was said that Berrill was back at home.
The only other member to be on the sick list was Mary Barford. Get well soon, Mary. At the meeting, the door prizes went to Wilma Clark and Erica Albert. Dianne Kimmitt collected the meat tray, and the voucher went to Anne Burrows.
After the meeting the members enjoyed Bingo, enlivened by the odd “quack quack” when the number “2” was called, much to the hilarity of all.
Winners were Gladys Obeth, Norma Fournier, Audrey Appleyard, Lorna Bird, Margaret Jones, Verna Thewlis, Juliet Carrick, Dianne Kimmitt, Jack Smith (on two successive occasions) and Norma Fournier.
