Their hair out there

A Star News Group team will be hairier this month as they grow moustaches to raise money for charity.
The 11 members of staff, who call themselves the Star-tash-tics, are part of the worldwide Movember moustache growing effort.
The Star-tash-tics team started out as a bit of fun for staff in the creative services and I.T. departments.
Movember, which started in Melbourne in 2003, aims to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and depression.
They are drawing their inspiration from their collection of famous moustaches including Yo Samity Sam, Adolf Hitler and the famous soup strainer on former Cardinia mayor Bill Ronald.
Diffferent styles of moustaches sported by the Star News team include ’60s, sad ’70s and the distinctive Chopper Read.
Team member Keith was inspired to participate in the challenge for reasons close to home.
“My motivation for Movember was in connection with my dad’s prostate cancer operation,” he said.
“He is recovering at the moment after his surgery this month.”
The Star-tash-tics are registered to the official Movember website where donations can be made for their fund raising efforts.
