Runners on fire

THE Pakenham CFA Junior running team leave for the WA State Fire and Rescue Championships today, thanks to the support of sponsors.
Last week, team members were presented with new running shirts in front of their sponsors and a special donation was made by Kerri Parker on behalf of the Pakenham Lakeside Bendigo Bank.
Last year the team was the first Victorian junior team to ever attend the WA State Fire and Rescue Championships, taking out all five aggregate trophies, including the grand aggregate.
After training hard all year, the junior team will return to Perth to defend their title during the weekend of competition.
