AS waters flooded his workplace, Outlook chief executive Tony Fitzgerald was trapped in his Garfield North home after roads collapsed nearby.
As the sky opened up and dumped more than 150 millimetres over the area, roads collapsed under the strain and left many stranded.
Mr Fitzgerald and his family were trapped until Monday afternoon when a friend with a four-wheel-drive was able to help him out – so he could survey the damage at Outlook’s Toomuc Valley Road facility.
