WAYNE “Bluey” Humphrey helped Beaconfield across the line in a nail-biting WGCA Premier Division final on Sunday.
Bluey was considered a legend of the club even before he died suddenly of a heart attack in November.
The 48-year-old was a stalwart of the club and his passing has been felt by all players and supporters.
But a determined Beacy was determined to honour his memory in a fantastic match.
Jason Dodd took a match winning catch to clinch the game against Cardinia with just nine runs to spare.
Man of the match was Brad Miles.
