THE annual Lotus Calisthenics Calithon was held last month to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Principal coach Keira Cowell said all members gathered together to practice their skills in groups with different coaches.
“The Calithon helped them to improve and develop their skills and money we raise will be spilt between the club and the Starlight Foundation,” Ms Cowell said.
The club has raised just over $1000 this year and hopes to at least double the amount, after raising about $2500 last year.
“The Starlight Foundation was chosen to give the performers empathy and understanding,” Ms Cowell said.
“It’s about children who are not fortunate enough to be able to do the things these girls do.”
Lotus Calisthenics is located at Lilypond House Duncan Drive, Pakenham. Members of the public are still welcome to donate to the cause.
