Casey Cardinia Netball League
CONGRATULATIONS to Under 13s and B grade who are currently sitting on top of the ladder in their respective grades.
It was fantastic to see Mel Overdyk back out on the netball court, making a successful comeback after the birth of her daughter, Jasmine, six weeks ago. Mel played the second half of A grade in goalkeeper.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE

Once again it was a slow start to the game with the team down by 11 goals at half time. Half time changes and positive talk opened up the court in the third quarter and gave the girls confidence, winning the quarter by one goal. Improved passing, great defence and long accurate passes into the goal third resulted in a great fourth quarter, something that has been lacking in the past couple of weeks. Overall, it was a fantastic team effort, with the team only going down by 7 goals in the end.
Beaconsfield 48 d ROC 41.
Awards: Sarah Smith and Amy Tivendale.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

Positive talk and a great start to the game gave ROC a 10-goal after the first quarter. The intensity dropped a little in the second quarter, but lifted again after a positive half-time break. The girls finished strongly in the last quarter with a big team effort. Strong positioning in goals against physical defenders really helped the team get such a solid win against quality opposition.
ROC 54 d Beaconsfield 39.
Award: Jess Airdrie.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

It was always going to be a tough game against a top team. The first three quarters were a great team effort, but the team needs to concentrate and put in for all four quarters. Excellent work by the defenders to keep their heads up against some very accurate goalers.
Beaconsfield 36 d ROC 23.
Award: Elise Macreadie.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 17

It was an unfortunate loss to Beaconsfield, but the girls played a strong competitive game, making Beacy work for every goal. Great game by defenders Brydie and Shannon who are working excellently together and communicating well. All the girls are improving each week.
Beaconsfield 41 d ROC 7.
Awards: Shannon, Brydie and Nicky.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 15

ROC came out strong in the first quarter, but Beacy had a great fight back and dominated the second half. Well done to Jaz Cross and Gemma Stacey for getting the awards.
Beaconsfield 18 d ROC 12.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 13

The team had to play in cold and wet conditions, but that didn’t stop them. All the shooters were accurate and hardly missed a shot. With strong defence too, they were able to limit the amount of goals conceded, sealing a very strong win.
