Tea rakes big cash

MORE than 20 people turned up at the Biggest Morning Tea hosted by TBM Training in Cranbourne.
TBM’s Finance and Marketing manager Angela McGhee said it was a good turnout with lots of local representatives including mayor Shar Balmes and councillor Amanda Stapledon.
“We had students and friends and family attend as well,” Ms McGhee said.
A raffle was held, with prizes including an ipod sound system, a toaster and a couple of hampers as well as a cake stall.
“All staff baked a cake, which we sold for a dollar or two,” she said.
Casey councillor Amanda Stapledon said the morning tea was fantastic.
“The food was absolutely beautiful, they put on a beautiful morning tea,” Cr Stapledon said.
“The effort of all the employees – that’s what struck me the most. The Cancer Council is also such a worthwhile charity.”
TBM Training provides education and training for people in all walks of life.
The Biggest Morning Tea raised about $670 towards cancer research.
Ms McGhee said it was a very successful event, and they will continue to run it in the future.
“We’re going to make it a regular thing from now on,” she said.
