Silk trip to Thailand

TRAVEL counsellor (TC) Claudia Silk recently returned from a trip to Thailand, after receiving a special TC Score award earlier in the year for outstanding service as a travel consultant.
Ms Silk, who runs her own travel business in her home in Pakenham, received the award for achieving the best customer satisfaction score out of all of the company’s Australian agents.
She and travel agent husband Ian spent eight nights in Bangkok and Phuket.
“We had such an amazing trip in Thailand and were totally spoilt staying at the amazing resorts,” Ms Silk said.
“When I won the prize at our annual conference, I was shocked and so emotional – not only had I won this amazing award and trip but the fact that my clients made this happen for me was truly the reason why I’m in this business.
“It’s fantastic to have the TC score, so I can see how I’m performing in my business. It’s a really important question that we ask our clients, and it has helped me build a successful business.”
Over the past year, Ms Silk, who is also one of the company’s top performing gold travel counsellors, has consistently received high scores of nine and 10 from her customers, making her one of the top scoring agents within the company of 1200 agents.
“It is so rewarding to be thanked by the company for all my hard work and dedication, and it always helps to have first-hand knowledge of a destination to share with my customers,” Ms Silk said.
“I am passionate about my job and I think my customers really appreciate the personal service and attention to detail that I can offer as a travel agent.”
