BOSS Hoggs proved why they will be hard to beat again in the spring competition of the South West Gippsland Dart League, with a crushing win in last year’s grand final rematch against the Bushrangers.
Boss Hogg won 13 games and the Bushrangers just two.
Garfield, which has entered the comp this year, may also be a force as it easily accounted for the Pine Grove Hillbillies, winning 10 games to five on debut.
And the word is Garfield has a couple of really good players.
Gembrook Warriors also started the season off well, with an easy 10 games to five victory over Pakenham.
Cockatoo had the bye.
The match of the round this week will be between the champs, Boss Hogg, and the newcomers, Garfield.
