THREE Grade 4 students are raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Charlotte Harvie, Lilly Hatley-Smith and Megan Preston, who attend Columba Catholic Primary School, divided their fundraiser into two competitions – one guessing how long a paper is in length and the other guessing how many jellybeans are in a jar.
Their original target for the month-long competition was $100, but after raising more than $50 in less than two weeks, they have set a new target.
“I think we might raise a little bit more,” Charlotte said.
“Maybe $150,” Megan said.
School principal Jan Gubbins said she was very proud of their initiative.
“They’re great role models,” she said.
“We will help them as much as we can to reach their goal and get past it.”
