BARBARA Mars (38) is making her presence known around the Beaconsfield Golf Club after being the only female to play in Thursday’s stableford comp and winning it with 47 points.
She also had the third best score (40 points) out of a field of 129 in last Saturday’s comp. Graham Martin (18) was runner-up in Thursday’s comp with 45 points.
Heather Hamilton (19) won her ninth medal on Wednesday after winning the August monthly medal as well as the July medal in a four-way play-off.
Marilyn Ford (13) won the Putting Spoon with 28 putts. Mary Padman won nearest the pin on the sixth and Rosalie Leake on the 15th
Perfect spring conditions this weekend at Cardinia Beaconhills saw C Grade player Jimmy Cooper (24) win the September monthly medal with a nett score of 63 on Saturday.
Wayne Ball (8) won A Grade with nett 70 on a countback and Bill Stewart won B Grade after returning a nett 67. Ron Baldock and Ross Millard had a play-off for the August monthly medal after they tied last month with Ron winning the medal with a nett 71.
Andrew Brewster (24) won Sunday’s Par competition after returning a score of +4. Tony Holt’s playing partners got very excited when they witnessed his ball’s flight path on the par-three 15th hole, which flew straight into the cup, making this year’s Father’s Day one to remember.
Ian Simpson (27) won Tuesday’s stableford with 45 points from runner-up Adrian Dearden (25) with 42 points.
