They’re bright sparks

MULTI-award winning Berwick business Successful Endeavours recently returned from Sydney with yet another award.
The business, an electronics design and embedded software development consultancy, was the winners of the Best Industrial Electronics Application Award at the Electronics News Futures Awards for its CQ900R Smart Controller.
The new device is a power factor correction controller.
According to managing director Ray Keefe, the controller is designed to use less power.
Used mainly in industrial applications, it will also reduce greenhouse gases, by achieving the same power output from less fuel.
Mr Keefe said he was over the moon about receiving the top award for electronic design in Australia.
“We feel pretty stoked,” he said.
“I’m really proud of the work our staff has done and I’m very grateful to client ABB High Voltage Division in Lilydale for giving us permission to allow this project to be nominated.”
Successful Endeavours is the recipients of a number of other awards, which include numerous Casey Business Awards, a highly commended at the EDN Innovation Awards and a nomination for Melbourne’s South East Business Awards. Mr Keefe was the recipient of one of six inaugural Exponential Entrepreneur Awards last year for being able to create profits for his clients in a measurable and sustainable way.
