CARDINIA Shire residents and community groups have the opportunity to make some extra cash by selling any unwanted goods at the inaugural Gembrook Community Garage Sale.
The garage sale, to be held at the Gembrook Community Centre, will raise money from the $5 stall fee and the Gembrook Fire Brigade will also be fund-raising with a barbecue on the day. Visitors can browse for bargains free of charge.
The event will be a win-win for locals and community groups as all proceeds will go towards upgrading the centre’s bar and kitchenette. The renovation is planned for later this year and the area is the last in the centre to be refurbished.
The garage sale will be held on Sunday September 25 from 10am to 2pm. Sellers can begin setting up from 9am.
Come rain, hail or shine all stalls will be inside the centre or outside under cover.
