STUDENTS from St Michael’s Primary School in Berwick won the regional section of the Tournament of the Minds recently.
Two teams of seven students from grades five and six competed in the problem solving competition, which was held at Deakin University.
One team came first in the Applied Technology section of the challenge and the other received honours in the Social Science section.
The winning team will compete in the Victorian state final.
School principal Michael Hanney said he was pleased with both team’s successes.
“I was delighted that the students were able to maintain the outstanding standard we have at St Michael’s,” he said.
