AS THE Pakenham Marketplace takes shape and the rush to get everything ready heats up – residents wanting to use the new Library/Hall complex can’t find anywhere to park.
Pakenham Hall president Lynne Squires said those who wanted to use the library complex were often forced to park on the other side of town because staff stocking shelves at the new Woolworths development had taken up all of the car parks out front.
“I’ve spoken to them time and time again, and the developers say they talk to the staff but there is no change,” Ms Squires said.
“We just want the people using the hall and library to be able to get a parking space nearby.”
She said some had even resulted to parking on the grass, and she looked forward to when the new shopping centre car parks opened.
