Saturday was the December Monthly Medal at Drouin and a good field of 121 players turned out.
Craig Cottier (15) had a much welcomed return to form, firing a great round of nett 68 to take out both A Grade and the Monthly Medal. A Grade runner up was Stan Gadjobranski on 69, followed by Warren Cook on 70.
Peter Devries (18) won B Grade with an excellent 69, from runner up Michael Barry on 71 and Noel Brereton 71. In C Grade it was Gerard Bongiorno (27) taking the chocolates with a nett 71. Runner up was Ritchie Thomas 75, on a count back from Ray Cropley also on 75. Nearest the pins went to Rod Hammond (second), Phil Dignan (fifth), J.P. Santo (19th) and Roger Crowe on the 23rd (pro pin).
WEDNESDAY
Another wet day reduced the field to only 19 players, meaning only one grade. The winner was Barry Beechey (16) with 32 points. Congratulations to Phil Mapleson who had a ‘hole in one’ on the fifth hole, whilst playing the nine hole comp last Monday.
This Saturday is a Par event and on Sunday we have a Guest Day 4BBB Medley. Also a reminder that on Saturday 17 December we have the Open Christmas Medley 4BBB – shotgun start at 10am (register prior to the day in the Pro Shop).
CHARITY DAY
