War of the roses

IT HAS all the makings of a really bad, but oh so good chick flick – but This Means War far exceeds all expectations set by previous attempts at the genre.
It has to be said from the outset. This is the perfect date movie.
Action for the boys, a love story for the girls and a few hearty chuckles spattered throughout.
The story centres around two CIA operatives, marksmen if you will, who both fall for the same girl, Lauren (Witherspoon).
Both men refuse to stand down, so they agree to let her decide for herself.
But in their gentlemen’s agreement there are no boundaries and they use the best technology available to them to win her heart.
It sounds corny. But it’s so good.
Pine and Witherspoon aside, their co-stars Tom Hardy (CIA agent Tuck) and Chelsea Handler (Lauren’s friend Trish) really stand out in the film.
Trish provides the laugh out loud formula as Lauren’s friend who says what she thinks, out loud, in public places.
She is a little crass, hilarious and steals the show.
