SPEED is the big factor of Jack Jenkins’ game-plan.
Jack, nine-years-old from Tooradin under-10s, might not be the tallest kid in his team, but he’s certainly one of the fastest.
He zipped up and down the field, especially though the midfield, at Cairns Road Reserve on Sunday morning, blitzing his bigger Hampton Park opponents to the ball with much gusto.
Finding himself in the clear against the Redbacks’ defenders, Jack flew through the forward line to kick Tooradin’s only goal of the morning.
While the result didn’t fall the Seagulls way, the likes of Jack and his equally small but swift team-mates will ensure this team will be hard to catch up to in years to come.
