After the official launch of Relay For Life, a dedicated team is excited about a number of new events to the area, allowing even more people to participate.
A Cranbourne-Narre Warren event, as well as a Cardinia event will provide welcome additions to the Relay for Life fund-raisers.
Relay For Life Co-ordinator Gemma Rix said with the introduction of two new relays in the area more locals would have the opportunity to get involved.
“Having three events means as many people as possible can participate,” she said.
The existing Casey-Cardinia event will enter its 10th year in 2013, long-standing as one of the biggest money-making relays in Victoria.
Next year the event will aim to raise $500,000 and Ms Rix is encouraging everyone to get involved.
“We want everyone working together and to get involved,” she said.
The Cranbourne-Narre Warren event will kick-start in November this year, running from 17-18 November, with the Cardinia event beginning in March next year.
The Casey-Cardinia event will hold its 10th fund-raiser, also in March next year.
Each relay will be held at a different venue, with the Cranbourne-Narre Warren relay taking place at Cranbourne Racing Centre, the Cardinia event at Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham, and the Casey Cardinia fund-raiser at Akoonah Park in Berwick.
