Collectors wanted to make the call

COLLECTORS for Red Cross Calling are urgently needed for the Narre Warren North area.
The need for extra helpers was highlighted at the branch’s February meeting.
An appeal is extended to anyone in the region who may be able to assist with this worthy appeal.
The appeal is starting earlier this year, from 13 February through to 13 March.
Inquiries from potential helpers can be made to the district coordinator Neil Charman on 9796 8371.
Several members of the Narre Warren North Red Cross branch will be participating in the appeal.
One of the members, Eadie Smith of Harkaway has been collecting for the past 21 years.
Eadie is always willing to give a helping hand where needed.
The branch held its first general meeting for the year on Thursday, 2 February when 17 members took part in a Christmas Carol quiz conducted by Lois Williams.
Those who had been on the sick list were welcomed back.
Members have been on a roster for Blood Bank duty at Narre Warren North over the past week and will be catering for the Red Cross regional meeting on 13 February at Berwick.
The next meeting of the branch will be held on Thursday, 2 March at 1pm at the Narre Warren North Guide hall.
New members will be made most welcome.
