Skate park official

LANG LANG’s new skate park will be officially opened this week.
The park has been operating for some weeks but will be formally opened at 4.30pm Thursday by Western Port MP Geoff Hilton and Cardinia Shire mayor Bill Ronald. Council communications officer Jeanette Langan said young people were encouraged to join the fun, which included a DJ and BMX demonstrations.
“Youth services staff will be at the launch to inform young people of what’s on for skaters in the next school holidays, so there’s plenty of free activities on between about 4.30pm and 6pm,” she said.
