Perfect six for Berwick

BERWICK Netball Club had six wins from as many games against ROC at the weekend.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE

In a close game that could have gone either way, Berwick went down by five goals. Berwick was leading at halftime but after erratic passing in the third quarter ROC jumped to the lead at threequarter time. Vanessa San Jose played an exceptional game at goal shooter, providing excellent leads in the goal circle. Defenders Jodie Cranston and Michelle MansonBlair created many turnovers from their defensive pressure in the goal ring.
Scores: Berwick 51 lost to ROC 56.
Best: Vanessa San Jose.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

Berwick played its best netball for the year to come away with an impressive win. In a tight contest Berwick came from behind in the last quarter to take a twogoal win. Jenny Randle and Emma Ray were solid in defence and took matchwinning intercepts in the last quarter. Belinda Walsh goaled accurately all day and Jessica Monahan was outstanding in the centre in a fine game by both sides.
Scores: Berwick 48 d ROC 46.
Best: Jessica Monahan.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

Berwick came away with a solid victory over ROC last week. Tina Pratt at wing attack made a strong comeback from injury. A new goaling combination of Nicole Liddle and Glena Clarke created many scoring opportunities.
Scores: Berwick 43 d ROC 25.
Best: Tina Pratt.

After an even first quarter Berwick began the second strongly. Tight defence from Renata Boon and Bree D’Agistino created many turnovers. Kayla Allerdyce dominated the centre while Melissa Richmond fed the goalers accurately. A great game by the goalers of Roxy Thompson and Corrine Mackley, who combined beautifully in the second and third quarters. Chloe Moss and Stephanie Hoskins provided strong attacking leads through the midcourt.
Scores: Berwick 38 d ROC 18.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:15 AND UNDER

After a slow start all players combined well for a great team win. With accurate shooting from the goalers Berwick went into the halftime break with a solid lead. The defenders and midcourt players applied pressure all down the court to force turnovers. Berwick came away with the win.
Scores: Berwick 37 d ROC 16.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:13 AND UNDER

It was an impressive win by Berwick, which proved too strong for the opposition. There was excellent defending by Stefani Hompot and Stacey Hargraves, who then drove the ball into the midcourt players Courtney Egerton and Chaillie Hurst. Claire Maskiell and Jessica Masters used their height to their advantage in the goal ring. Emily Pratt and Stephanie Whiteman also had a run in the goal circle and shot accurately.
Scores: Berwick 43 d ROC 5.
