Crafty weekends planned for park

AS PART of the City of Casey Winter Arts Program, Friends of Wilson Botanic Park, together with some of the talented arts and crafts people within the district, will present a display and informal presentation to the public.
It will be held in the visitor centre of Wilson Botanic Park, Princes Highway, Berwick.
The display will be open from 10am to 4pm on the five weekends in July.
Details as follows: 1 and 2 July, Berwick Brae Craft Group, Patchwork, Christine Dale; 8 July, artists Carol Norman and Tara Wilson; 9 July, jewellery making, Carol Norman and Kaye Seton; 15 and 16 July, Art drawing and painting by Fred Elliot, Robin Allison and Nola Gibson; July 22 and 23 Berwick woodworking club; 29 and 30 July, mosaics and displays of paintings by Janine Forenski; 30 July, colour pencil artist Geoff Sargeant and quilter Elma Morgan. The WBP Spinners will also be demonstrating through the weekends.
The Friends of Wilson Botanic Park aim to promote the park, raise funds for its further development, and contribute to the daytoday operation.
Anyone who has not visited the park before is invited to come along and take a stroll through to see its transformation from quarry to tranquil beauty.
