I WENT to the Pakenham show with my daughter. We enjoyed the variety of displays. Eventually we felt in need of food and a rest.
We chose to sit under the shelter near the skate park to watch the clever, agile activities while we ate as it was the only seating in sight near food alley.
During this time my daughter impulsively helped a child adjust his equipment. This led to concern from the alert young man in charge that she may have been acting with ill intent.
It brought home to us the extent of fear in the community for the safety of children when two grey-haired ladies come under suspicion when lending a helping hand.
