YVMDFL division 2

EMERALD played Alexandra at Alexandra in greasy and sloppy conditions. With the return of some of our injured players, together with new players, the Bombers were able to again field three full sides and have an interchange bench.
The senior side struggled against a strong Alexandra side. Emerald had no answers to the strength of the centre and forward lines with the Alexandra players being at least a head taller than our players.
The players never dropped their heads and never gave in trying but were outclassed on the day by a team with the home advantage.
Scores: Alexandra 27.11.173 d Emerald 8.11.59.
Goals: Clinton Marsh 3, Cameron Willams 2, Robbie Stewart, David Hill, Nathan Hill 1.
Best: Josh Huisintveld, Cameron Williams, David Hill, Michael Colbert.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:RESERVES

An inexperienced side took the track and tried its hardest but were no match for an Alexandra side that had been together for several years. The players continued to try hard all day without much success.
Scores: Alexandra 18.30.138 d Emerald 1.6.12.
Goals: Andrew Rolfs 1.
Best: Bruce Whitehead, Tom Williams, Callum Benoiton, Andrew Rolfs.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 18

Emerald showed their dominance from the very bounce in the first quarter. The Bombers played team football and continued to build up their lead each quarter.
The conditions were greasy, however Emerald managed to move the ball freely, while converting on most occasions. Every player tried his hardest and never gave up.
Scores: Emerald 9.7.61 d Alexandra 3.3.21.
Best: Daniel Hill, Steven Wright, Kieren Toms and Callum Benoiton.
Goals: Steven Wright 3, Jesse Mather 2, Robbie Stewart, Daniel Hill 1.
