EMMAJANE Montgomery has been given a lift by Cardinia Shire Council on her road to Tamworth.
The Bunyip musician recently won the right to perform at Australia’s biggest music festival next January.
The bubbly 18yearold is a finalist in the Telstra Road to Tamworth competition.
EmmaJane was the youngest person ever to perform at the Bunyip Country Music Festival, playing when she was just 12 years old.
Councillors at their 17 July meeting voted to give EmmaJane $250 to help cover the cost of her trip.
Bunyip ward councillor Bill Pearson said EmmaJane was a very talented young performer and wished her all the best.
