Tooradin bounces back

TOORADINDALMORE Netball Club’s Agrade team bounced back after a shock loss to Berwick last week with a dominating performance against Narre Warren, winning by 22 goals.
From the outset Rachel Splatt was taking no prisoners as the last line of defence, assisted by some dashes of brilliance by Tenneale Wells, back to full strength from injury.
At the other end of the court, Kate Lynch turned on a show, dictating the terms in the goal ring, aptly supported by Keren Van Der Heyden.
Through the midcourt, Sara Drain and Shona Wells provided much stability and also contributed with some classy intercepts of their own.
In the second half Stacey McConnell came off the bench and dominated, while Holly Booth, in her first senior game, was able to hold her own in the goal ring to help the side finish 22 points better than its opponent.
Scores: Tooradin 59 d Narre Warren 37.

Erin McMillan and Vicki Craven stood up under pressure and worked the ring to perfection, finishing off with some excellent goaling.
Stacey Edwards played a solid feeding game in centre and used her vision to full strength.
Scores: Tooradin 52 d Narre Warren 28.
Awards: McConnell’s Pharmacy BOC: Holly Gilliespie; Bethune Transports Coaches: Erin McMillan; Most Damaging: Holly Gillespie.
