A TOP round of nett 70 nett gave L. Smethurst the monthly medal on a countback from Fred Barton at Drouin Golf Club on Saturday.
Results of the stroke event with a CCR of 74 were:
Agrade: Fred Barton (handicap seven) 70. Bgrade: G. Smythe (handicap 19) 71. Cgrade: L. Smethurst (handicap 25) 70.

There was no competition last Tuesday due to adverse weather, although some members braved the wet conditions.
The weather improved by Thursday for the ninehole seniors’ competition and the winner was Joyce Pierrehumbert with 15 points and the runnerup was Val Johnson with 14 points.
This week is stroke, the monthly medal and the playoff for the silver spoon.
Next week will be the annual general meeting at 9.30 with a ninehole competition to follow.
This will be the newly introduced excommittee trophy sponsored by Elaine Howlett in conjunction with the ninehole competition of the day.
