TEENAGER Nicola Bull is set to take the stage in the classical musical Oklahoma!
The 17yearold will join 40 young performers from Victorian schools to tread the boards at Her Majesty’s Theatre, until 16 September.
The students were chosen from hundreds of hopefuls to take on roles with school music group Joining the Chorus.
Artistic director Mark Laguerre said final rehearsals were under way, with some students travelling from as far as Hopetoun to run through their paces.
“We scoured the state for leading performers with a rigorous audition process,” Mr Laguerre said.
“The energy, dedication and enthusiasm shown by students, including Nicola, has been spectacular.”
And Nicola is no stranger to the spotlight.
The Pakenham Secondary College student has performed since the age of 11, and has appeared in a number of productions including Les Miserables and The Pirates of Penzance.
