Smaller Christian school

LAKESIDE College Pakenham offers a quality Christian education in a smaller school environment.
Principal David Spike said the college had a strong emphasis on academic excellence and pastoral care that prepared young people for living in the 21st century.
“We are part of a national system of over 86 schools educating 40,000 students,” Principal Spike said.
“We are an open enrolment school and welcome families from diverse faith and cultural backgrounds.
“Our staff are passionate and committed to student achievement and partner with families in education.
“Next year will be our 10th anniversary but we are part of a national system of schools that celebrated over 175 years of education in Australia.”
He said the school had a very positive student culture and sense of community among families and staff as well as an innovative approach to IT balanced with solid pedagogy.
“Smaller class sizes mean students are well known and supported by teachers,” Principal Spike said.
“We have a single class structure at primary with an emphasis on establishing the foundations of learning. There is a vibrant middle school philosophy and program designed to develop breadth and life skills. The senior school program is focused on preparing students for an individual career pathway.”
The school has a generous family discount and scholarships for Year 7 and senior school and is focused on building individuals who are confident, aware, career and life ready.
