NARRE Warren’s Agrade side recovered from a mini batting collapse to hit 197 against Sandown Park in round two, day one on Saturday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Narre Warren started well with Matt Darvell and Jarryd Leeworthy carrying the score to 2/92 at tea off 44 overs.
Other good performances came from Leworthy (under17) with 43 and Darvell (under15) batting for 55 overs to make 35 runs.
Andrew Stevens (27) and Brendan Jarman (25 not out) were also important contributors.

Playing Dandenong West at home, Narre Warren won the toss and elected to bowl. Wickets were hard to get early, but after a breakthrough, the bowling tightened up to restrict Dandenong West to 202.
Best of the bowlers were James Hockey (3/25 off 11), Gareth Rees (2/24 off 13) and Matt Gordon (2/71 off 17).

Narre Warren played Buckley Ridges at Noble Park Secondary College, won the toss and elected to bowl with Regan Welburn and Glen Landry getting wickets early. Buckley Ridges then formed a solid third wicket partnership and gave no chances.
To Narre Warren’s credit it kept working hard and eventually got the breakthrough thanks mainly to a great spell of bowling from Dave Bennett. He took 3/28 in a nineover burst and turned the match in Narre’s favour.
He was well supported by Matthew Brew who was unlucky not to take wickets.
Frank Welburn bowled a brilliant spell of leg spin and took 3/34.
Narre restricted Buckley Ridges in the field and made it difficult to score, keeping its total to 217.

Narre Warren at home to Lynbrook was asked to bat, made a steady start and was looking comfortable at 2/70 before collapsing to be all out for 95.
Vic Bradshaw made 34 to top score.
Graeme Duncan, aged 59, batting at number three, was the last man out for 12 and was an inspiration in application for the rest of the team.
Narre has Lynbrook 3/39.

Playing Doveton North at home, Narre won the toss and elected to bat first.
In a classy display of batting, Narre finished the 36 overs at 7/311.
Top batting honours went to Travis Green 55 not out, Tim Kelson 54 not out, Graeme Rainer 51 not out, Darren Arter 37 and Andrew Todd 35.
Doveton North in reply was all out for 46 with Arter picking up 3/12 off four, Green 3/5 off three and Greg Young 2/2 off two overs.
Brian King was thanked for working the barbecue during the afternoon.

On a cold morning at Berwick Fields, Narre Warren won the toss and elected to bowl against the nine men of HSD.
After a good start Rokhan Yousafzai bowled well 1/5, James Rotheram 1/11.
After a couple of good partnerships, it was Roman Jukoff who stole the show with the ball (4/4).
HSD was bowled out for 63.
With the bat Narre is 2/27 with Yousafzai unbeaten on seven and Jarrod Leworthy one not out.
