Emergency skills show

RESCUE workers put their skills on show at the Cardinia Road Safety Expo and Pakenham Free Family Fun Day.
Demonstrations of what happens at a rescue was a key focal point for visitors to the event, held recently at the P. B. Ronald Reserve.
Pakenham SES spokesman Steve Monro said the day attracted hundreds of people who enjoyed free food, free fun and free activities put on by the local churches, Cardinia Shire and emergency services.
“The Pakenham Road Rescue Unit also displayed their skills and cut up vehicles explaining to the public what happens at a rescue,” he said.
“It was a huge success and it is something that the community can look forward to again next year.”
Pakenham Police Senior Sergeant Trevor Teer said the event was a great success. He congratulated organisers and patrons for their support.
