ASSOCIATE Professor Dr Andrew F. Bennett of Deakin University will discuss how much habitat is enough at a seminar at the Casey Civic Centre at 7pm on Wednesday 14 September.
The Casey Conservation Advisory Committee will host the free seminar, Planning for Wildlife Conservation in Rural Landscapes.
Casey manager of engineering and environmental services David Richardson said the seminar would look at how wildlife was affected by development and land clearing.
“Dr Bennett has published a range of works in this area and has welcomed the opportunity to share some of his knowledge with the Casey community,” he said.
Dr Bennett said by increasing the amount of habitat for wildlife by natural regeneration and strategic revegetation, atrisk areas could be protected.
Bookings can be made on 9705 5200 by Monday 12 September.
