Bullant bowlers butt Bulls

OFFICER’S Agrade bowlers, led by Kable Dowsett and Andrew Tucker, bundled Cardinia out for a modest 118 runs on Saturday.
The Bullants lost the toss, fielded and struck in the first over with Dowsett bowling the usually highscoring Mark Cooper for a duck.
The wickets tumbled as Tucker (3/23) and Dowsett (3/35) with Ben Tivendale 2/27), Sean Marchetti (1/9) and Daniel Savage (1/21).
Officer was 3/70 at stumps with Rod Zlonzak hitting two sixes in his unbeaten 27.

C GRADE

Officer was sent in by Beaconsfield after winning the toss and was well placed at tea being 2/72.
Glen Longmuir was in good form with 30, opening the batting and Peter Quinn also played some good shots in his innings of 19 with Liam Main being the standout batsman with a stylish 65.
Officer lost momentum after tea with the side all out just before stumps for 136.
Beaconsfield was 0/6 at stumps after five overs.

E GRADE

Officer struck trouble against a strong Lyndhurst bowling attack and was all out for 90 with David Ryal (16) top scoring with one four.
Graham Cooper was solid with 15 at number three and Peter Quigley showed continued veteran’s form with his 15.
Officer then bowled with Lyndhurst 1/38 at stumps with Wayne Danks (1/12) taking the only wicket.

F GRADE

Officer returned to the winner’s list with a close 19run win over Pakenham.
The Bullants made 140 with Richard Francis top scoring with 24 including three fours and a six, Nigel Gibbons (21), Ben Hale (20), Steve Darlow (16) and David Coldebella (11).
Officer was 7/100 off 29 overs.
Pakenham started quickly being 2/80 off 12 overs, but then collapsed due to great bowling by David Coldebella (3/21 off six overs), Ben Hale (2/8 off 4.3 overs) and Steve Darlow (1/33).

UNDER 17

Officer batted most of the morning to make 99 with the highlight being Jayden Bell’s maiden 50 with 62 not out opening the batting.
Matt Cooper made 10 and Officer will be looking for quick wickets this Saturday for a win.

UNDER 15

Officer continued its improving form with the bat to make 82 against Beacy Saints with Jaydon Joyce (25) top scoring and Matt Buntine (11) with James McVicar showing good form in his second game to make 10 in 15 overs.

TWENTY20

Against Nar Nar Goon, Officer made 111 to 120 with Shane White top scoring with 29, Peter Quinn making 24 and Chris Savage 22.
With the ball, the wickets were shared around with Brett Reid taking 1/20, S. Marchetti 1/20 and Chris Savage being economical with 2/17 in four overs.
Officer’s next game is against Cardinia at its main ground.
