IN a mixed day for Beaconsfield’s senior sides on Saturday, B, C and D and Fgrades all secured strong wins, while A and E Grades suffered surprise losses.

Chasing Merinda Park’s total of 161 from last week, the Tigers started the day at 2/29 with Don Kerslake and Gus Patti at the crease.
Patti batted doggedly before finally being knocked over for 13. Don Kerslake went on to be the backbone of the Beaconsfield innings with 65.
The only other support came from Ryan O’Connor with 20, leaving Beaconsfield all out for 149.
Merinda Park had another turn with the bat and finished at 1/37 off 7.2 overs, with Troy McDermott claiming the one wicket.

Also playing Merinda Park, Beaconsfield was defending 5/288 declared and had its opponents one wicket down overnight.
Merinda Park was dismissed for 123 in its first innings with Travis Turnbull completing a fine match with 4/16 off 9.1 overs.
Geoff Bliss provided great support with 3/22 off 12 and Matt Brown bowled well to return 2/15 off 10.
Captain Matt Ravenhall asked Merinda Park to bat again and at the close of play Beaconsfield had its opponent 5/84.
Kris Fletcher and Matt Brown each captured two wickets, whilst Travis Turnbull added one more to round out a great game.

After restricting Officer to 136, Beaconsfield batted well to reach 6/249 at the close of the second day’s play.
Mick McMahon led from the front with 83.
Opening the batting Ross Mitchell scored 44, Craig Douglas got 38 and Wayne Heathcote 25.

Saints played Pakenham and were chasing a huge score of 144 and did well to make 105 with Jarryd Madden 33 not out, Dylan Claxton 10, Ian Goodison 13 and Lachlan Cotton 11.
Tigers played Clyde and broke through for their first win when they defended 133 from last week, dismissing the Clyde 9/109.
