Last horses in harness

WARRAGUL will host its final harness race meeting of the season this Friday afternoon.
An eightrace card has been programmed, with the first race due to start at 1.15pm.
Racing will be highlighted by the Gary Lee Sprinklers Pace, with a strong field expected.
Among entries are Avviato, first up since July, but a horse that was placed 12 times when last in work.
Dartmoor, Jasper Jo, Julies Equity and Glasscutters Atom are also talented entries.
La Venganza will be looking for its second win in succession for Gippsland trainers Gary and Debbie Quinlan in the Elizabethan Receptions Pace.
The stable will also be trying to win its own race, the Alby Quinlan Memorial Handicap, with Alba Rama.
A number of trainers from outside Gippsland will bring horses to the meeting, a sign of Warragul’s popularity, especially given the club’s new incentive to award lucky trainers who miss earning prizemoney for their efforts.
Fifth and sixth placed trainers are awarded a consolation prize on selected races at selected meetings.
