PAKENHAM firefighters were quickly into the fray in 2007, getting their first callout when the new year was only an hour old.
Country Fire Authority (CFA) units from Pakenham and Toomuc were called to a fire at a drain in King Street about 1am on Monday.
Pakenham CFA member Daniel Ingram said the small fire was quickly put out.
