Officer fights out of trouble

OFFICER’S Agrade side ended up with a good score and a win by five wickets after being in trouble against a steady Devon Meadows bowling attack at 5/35.
Sean Marchetti hit a superb 85 with four sixes, and he and Ben Tivendale, with a wellmade 51, guided the side to a win with a 100run partnership.
Ben Baxter (36) and Chris Savage (41 not out) with two big sixes also added a good stand.
Officer finished at 259.
The club congratulated Colin Tucker on his selection in the WGCA country week side.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

C Grade had a tight game against MaryknollNar Nar Goon, winning by 17 runs, 166 to 149.
For Officer, Drew Tucker bowled with plenty of pace and movement and took 6/39 off 21.2 overs with a great caught and bowled one of the highlights.
Paul Simon took 2/36 off 19 overs and James Quinn 1/50 off 21 overs in an accurate spell.
Gary Tivendale fielded well to take two catches, and Mick Adams also kept well with two catches including a good wicket off Tucker to finish the game.
C grade plays Kooweerup at Officer this Saturday.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

Officer was undermanned and all out for 35 with Kane Barkham and Wayne Danks the top scorers with 10 apiece.
Tooradin made 4/362 declared with Tom Bulenok taking two wickets.
Wayne Danks took 1/96 and Tooradin declared after 46 overs.
E Grade should be strengthened by the return of players this week.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:F GRADE

Officer made 155 and lost to Catani on a small ground, Catani making 191 to win by 36 runs.

Cardinia won after Officer made the good score of 155 in the first week.
A total of 30 wides and no balls didn’t help the team, while Matt Cooper bowled accurately with 0/17 off eight overs and two run outs.
Daniel Beaumont took 1/21 and Andrew Crew 1/25 off five overs.
The side’s batting was a highlight in this game with 155 a winning score most matches.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 15

Officer fielded all day against a strong Nar Nar Goon team, which made 205.
Ben Martin took 2/29 off five overs as the leading wickettaker, while Taylor Joyce (1/3), Jye McManus (1/23) and Lewis Bond (1/38) also contributed.
Tom Marks bowled for 0/30 off six overs.
Batting in its second innings, Officer made 1/23 and Marks finished a good game with the bat to make 12 not out.
Toby Sherer was 4 not out.
