PAKENHAM residents will come together to celebrate the many exciting events that make up the Yakkerboo Festival.
The 31st annual festival, a focal point on the community’s event calendar, kicks off with the art show opening on Friday, 30 March.
Fireworks and a street parade will provide a spectacular climax to the festival on 21 and 22 April.
Yakkerboo president Graham Treloar said everything was coming together for the big event.
School children and community groups are busy getting together their floats for the parade through Pakenham’s Main Street.
The parade this year will carry the theme Our Multicultural World.
Mr Yakkerboo’s birthday party celebration in Bourke Park will be another highlight.
A range of fun and free activities will once again be on offer.
