Next big band

APPLICATIONS are now open for the 2007 Battle of the Bands. Electric Productions are calling for all local bands to apply for a chance to compete in the biggest local battle of the year.
On 29 June Cardinia Shire Youth Services and Electric Productions will host the 2007 FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands.
Last year the event attracted over 400 young people, so come along and show us your stuff, increase your fan base and be in the running to win good prizes.
The winner will go on to compete in the regional finals with a chance of performing at Push Over 2008.
Entry is restricted to people under 21 who do not have a recording, publishing or distribution deal. Any act that entered and was placed first in a FReeZA Push Start heat in the previous year should not apply.
Performers living in, attending schools in, or with strong links to the Cardinia Shire will be given preference. To enter, complete an application form and send in with a copy of your demo and bio to Youth Services Battle of the Bands, PO Box 7 Pakenham 3810.
Applications must be received by 28 May 2007 and all successful bands will be notified by 1 June 2007.
For an application form contact Jade Stubbs at Cardinia Shire Youth Services on 5945 4351, mobile 0417 327 338 or youthcardinia.vic.gov.au.
