Drive-in for a movie

BERWICK Village Chamber of Commerce has arranged a drive-in movie night at Akoonah Park Berwick for Saturday 9 May.
Walt Disney’s popular Race to Witch Mountain will be screened, and all the trimmings of the drive-in will be available with on-screen advertising, and a sausage sizzle before the picture starts and again at half-time.
Audio is transmitted through car radios on an FM frequency advised on the night.
The film night is part of the chamber’s promotions to build the retail and commerce sector in the village by involving the community in activities.
Ticket sales will be available at the gate from 6pm, and the film is due to start at dusk.
Admission is $20 a car. To be sure of a spot, bookings can be made at Gloria Jeans Coffee Shop, High Street, Pol Boutique, High Street, Berwick Curtain Nook, in Berwick Arcade, High Street, or Harry’s Male Fashion in Blackburne Square.
Hot food and refreshments will be available.
