NEW Berwick Show secretary Mike Vallence has settled in at Akoonah Park to prepare the 2007 Berwick Show on Saturday and Sunday 24 and 25 February.
He is convinced the show will be as good as ever with the only negative at this stage the impact on livestock because of the drought.
Mr Vallence is no stranger to the park. He has been involved with the show since 1978 and worked in the sheep section with the late Betty Taylor and then Neil Lucas.
He has made time to concentrate on the show.
“We started working on the next show about August and we are well on the way.
Mr Vallence is a country lad. “I was born at Shepparton and spent much of my life in the Benalla area,” he said.
