BEACONSFIELD Netball Club’s Agrade team played a top game to down Devon Meadows by 29 goals on Saturday.
The team started well to be leading at half time and after a lapse in the third quarter, came home strongly.
Ebony Matthews played a good game after Sarah Hogan went off with an injury.

B GRADE
Beaconsfield continued its excellent form from the previous week with another convincing win.
All players worked hard to move the ball down the court and passages of play were finished off with excellent goaling by Louise Vincent and Raelene Darby. It was an excellent defensive team effort with many turnovers created and all players working hard and contributing.

C GRADE
Beaconsfield visited Devon Meadows on Saturday and the strong wind limited the effectiveness of lobbing forcing the girls to focus on shorter, sharp passes. Kat Powell and Sarah Garrett worked well in goals with the help of Debby Stacey who swapped into goals in the last half. Their accuracy was spot on, displaying skills in the windy conditions.
Pressure from Beaconsfield was evident all over the court, with all players working to make every pass difficult for Devon Meadows.
The defenders worked hard, picking up on all mistakes, resulting in Devon Meadows being kept goalless in the third quarter. Sarah Wyatt played well in goalkeeper and Sarah Battista, Kirsty Bussuttil, Lauren Kowalski and Shelly Ziesler all worked well to bring the ball down.

17 AND UNDER
Beaconsfield’s defensive pressure was outstanding with Alex O’Sullivan, Tarryn Darby and Carly Williams consistently making it difficult for the opposition goalers.

15 AND UNDER
Despite the wind it was a good competitive match that was close game for four quarters, with the final score a draw, thanks to a last minute pressure goal by Melissa Rooke.
In the midcourt Bec Van Steensel and Claire Van Lambaart worked hard to come forward and provide leads as was asked of them.
Defenders Cheyenne Douglas, Jacinta Baldwin and Ruby Meade stayed tightly on their opponents. Shooters Ellie Gubbins and Melissa Rooke played a good second half, moving well in the ring and working their passes around nicely to utilise their space to score.

13 AND UNDER
A great game by all the girls making a big contribution to Beaconsfield’s percentage and helping it to maintain its position on the ladder.
The defence was excellent throughout the court and in the defence ring, keeping Devon Meadows scoreless.
