MONASH University Business and Education Group (MUBEGG) will hold an evening seminar from 5.30pm on Wednesday, 19 July on the need for genuine leaders in business.
Guest presenter Achieveglobal strategic account manager Michael Dowling will focus on the need for genuine leaders in business and will discuss what employees want from their leaders.
Achieveglobal helps organisations translate business strategies into results by improving the performance of their people.
Mr Dowling will discuss ways that help employees become more motivated, more efficient, and more productive in the workplace.
This will also involve discussion on the possibility that employees are looking for more than people with leadership skills and may seek people with leadership characteristics as well.
He will pose the idea that they may want leaders with the courage to step up to the difficult moment, the tough challenge, and the risky decision.
He will speak about leaders who are real and those who show humanity.
The function is free for members and costs $9.90 for nonmembers. Further information is available from Faculty of Business and Economics Monash University community projects officer David Allman on 9904 7081.
