YOUNG people in the south east have an opportunity to become involved in planning National Youth Week through a City of Casey youth committee. Youth Week will be held next April.
Casey manager of youth and community services Janette Green said joining the committee was a great way for young people aged 12 to 25 to work with others to produce activities that would benefit young people.
National Youth Week (NYW) is a joint initiative between all levels of government that give young people an opportunity to express their ideas and views and act on issues.
NYW aims to encourage young people to share ideas, attend live events, have a voice on issues of concern, showcase talents, celebrate their contribution to the community, have fun, and participate in competitions.
Young people who would like to join the group or community groups who would like to be involved should contact Eloise Brown on 5996 7667 or ebrowncasey. vic.gov.au.
