Cobras’ deadly pair

A 186 sixthwicket partnership by Merinda Park Agrade’s Brett Armitage and Clayton Riddle helped boost their side to an impressive 297 against Kooweerup on Saturday.
A highlight of the day for the Cobras was the century to veteran Armitage scoring with 105 and Riddle 87 not out.
Brett Whittingham compiled a wellmade 41 and captain Craig Boswell 31 not out.

It wasn’t a good day for the Cobras having already lost their match on first innings to Upper Beaconsfield.
Only two players reached double figures in the score of 10/78 with Andy Syddall making 21 and Scott Kunziak 15.
At stumps, Upper Beaconsfield was 0/105 from 13 overs.

The Cobras have their work cut out for them against Lyndhurst when the visitors amassed 9/253 from 52 overs.
Best of the bowlers was captain Paul Humphrey with 4/55 from 16 overs with Robert Strang taking 2/62 from 17 overs and under15 player Stuart Martin taking 2/56 from 8 overs.

The Cobras have a fight on their hands against Kooweerup with it missing several players and still making 152.
At stumps, the Cobras were in trouble at 2/6. Andy Martin continued his good form with the ball taking 2/18 from 6 overs.
Captain Michael Theodoridis also was amongst the wickets with 2/32 from 6 overs.
Kris Kempf, with 1/5 from four overs, and Matthew Grayson with 1/ 22 from four overs were the other wicket takers.

Playing Devon Meadows at home, the Cobras had the visitors 9/168 at stumps.
David Spencer, having a great first season with the Cobras, picked up 2/17 from six overs with his brother Simon taking1/14 from four overs and a wicket each to Jarrod Armitage, Jake Feenstra, Matthew Pongracic, Daniel Andreadis and Ryan Little.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 13

Playing a oneday game against Nyora, the Cobras had a good win after making 4/106 with Simon Spencer 17 retired, Ryan Little and Jason Pongracic both 16 retired.
In the field the Cobras had Nyora 9/67 with Sakila Tennakoon taking 2/4 from three overs, Udesha Kalapuge with 2/2 from two overs and a wicket each to Luke Claringbould, Simon Spencer and Dylan Cuthbertson.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 11

Playing Clyde in a oneday game, the Cobras made 42 in their 20 overs with the opposition making 50.
In the field there was some good fielding with Blake Glassborow and James Jordan involved in a runout.
The wickets, which fell in the innings, were all bowled with Blake Glassborow, Caleb Boswell, Ramith Satharasinghe and Ben Dalton picking up one each.
